BOARD TREASURER
GERTRUDE BIBI ANNOHQUARSHIE
Gertrude is currently the Director of Operations at AWDF leading and directing, the finance Human Resource and Administration functions at AWDF to ensure the organisation delivers on its commitments. She is a key facilitator for two of the AWDF flagship Capacity Building workshops, the financial management training and Resource Mobilization Boot camp. She is a chartered certified accountant with over 16 years of experience in audit, finance, accounting and administration in not-for profit as well as for profit organisations. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the United Kingdom, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). She has a B.S. degree and an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana. Gertrude is passionate about women’s rights and the pursuit of dignity, equality, respect and justice for African women and girls. Integrity and ethical leadership are at the forefront of her personal and professional values, influencing her day-to-day decision making and actions. I am on the board because, I have known about the work of The Centre for years and I hope to contribute through board oversight to make The Centre an effective organisation in line with its strategic objectives. I have experience in strategic financial management, feminist leadership and organisational development with emphasis on appropriate systems and structures for organisational effectiveness.
